Drops Bayer ADVANTIX – a combined insect-acaricidal drug for dogs with triple protection against ticks, fleas and mosquitoes, has a unique combination of permethrin and imidacloprid, provides maximum effectiveness of the drug, in which the active ingredients enhance each other’s effectiveness. Has a strong repellent eyelash – scares away Ixodes mites from your dog and prevents parasites from attacking the animal for 4 weeks. The insecticidal and acaricidal properties of Advantix cause the death of 98 to 100% of fleas, ticks and mosquitoes that hit the animal’s body before the bite. The active substance accumulates not only in the sebaceous glands, but also in the hair follicles, which increases the degree and quality of distribution of the drug on the surface: it spreads not only on the skin surface, but along the entire length of hair.
Permethrin, which is part of the drug, has a pronounced water-repellent effect, so Advantix is not washed off with water. Advantix is the only drug that protects a dog from mosquitoes that can infect an animal with heartworm disease (heartworms). Imidacloprid, which is part of the drug is the most effective and fast-acting component that kills fleas, has an umbrella effect, ie destroys the larvae of parasites on litter and animal habitats. Not absorbed into the blood, approved for use even in allergic / flea dermatitis and other skin lesions.
Packed in a box of 4 pipettes, in a dose appropriate to the weight of the dog, with instructions for use. Pipettes can be packed separately from each other.
Structure:
100 ml of the drug contain active substances: imidacloprid – 10.0 g, permethrin – 50.0 g, excipients: butyl hydroxytoluene, N-methylpyrrolidone, migliol 812, citric acid.
Dosage.
The minimum recommended dose is 10 mg of imidacloprid and 50 mg of permethrin per 1 kg of body weight.
According to the body weight of the animals it is recommended to use the appropriate pipettes of the drug:
– for dogs weighing up to 4 kg: volume 0.4 ml; Imidacloprid (mg / kg body weight) at least 10; Permethrin (mg / kg body weight) at least 50.
– for dogs from 4 kg to 10 kg: volume 1.0 ml; Imidacloprid (mg / kg body weight) 10–25; Permethrin (mg / kg bw) 50–125.
– for dogs from 10 kg to 25 kg: volume 2.5 ml; Imidacloprid (mg / kg body weight) 10–25; Permethrin (mg / kg bw) 50–125.
– for dogs from 25 kg to 40 kg: volume 4.0 ml; Imidacloprid (mg / kg body weight) 10–16; Permethrin (mg / kg bw) 50–80.
– for dogs from 40 kg to 60 kg: volume 6.0 ml; Imidacloprid (mg / kg body weight) 10-15; Permethrin (mg / kg bw) 50–75.
When treating dogs weighing more than 40 kg, Bayer Advantix is used at a dose of 0.1 ml per kg of animal weight, using a combination of pipette tubes of different packaging. The death of insects parasitizing on the animal occurs within 12 hours, the death or detachment of Ixodes mites – within 48 hours after treatment. The protective effect of the drug against lice, fleas, voloids, two-winged insects, as well as Ixodes mites after a single treatment of the animal lasts 4-6 weeks.
Repeated treatments of animals are carried out according to the indications, but not more often than once a month. One package is enough for 4 months. One-time treatment protects animals from mosquitoes, gnats and flies for 4 weeks, which reduces the risk of communicable diseases.
Application: Advantix is used to kill insects and Ixodes mites that parasitize dogs, as well as to protect animals from attack by topical (drip) application of the drug on the skin. In the treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by insects, the drug can be used in conjunction with drugs. Before use, remove the protective cap from the pipette tube, pierce the protective membrane of the pipette nozzle (put the cap on the back), spread the hair and press the pipette tube, apply the drug on the skin in an inaccessible to licking animal (between the shoulder blades). When treating large dogs, the contents of the pipette tube are applied to the skin in three or four places on the back from the shoulder blades to the buttocks.
Personal precautions: No smoking, drinking or eating is allowed when using Bayer Advantix. Wash your hands thoroughly with warm soapy water after use. The animal should not be washed, stroked or allowed to reach young children for 24 hours after treatment. In case of accidental contact with the skin or eyes, it should be washed off with running water, if ingested – consult a doctor. Empty pipette tubes from under the drug must not be used for household purposes, they are closed with caps and thrown in the trash.
Contraindications: Do not use in puppies under 7 weeks. Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Do not use cats. Due to possible contamination of fabrics, plastics and other materials, the treated animal should not be allowed to come into contact with surrounding objects until the drug is completely dry at the treatment site.
Storage conditions: Store in a dry dark place, away from food and feed, at a temperature of 5 ° C to 25 ° C.
